Comprising more than 177,000 members in chapters around
the world, the women of Today’s DAR represent a diversity of
religious and ethnic backgrounds and interests. What brings
us together is the common bond of having an ancestor who
contributed to securing this country’s independence and a
dedication to promoting historic preservation, education and
patriotism in our communities.

You don’t have to provide proof of lineage before contacting and visiting our chapter. We encourage prospective members to first attend one or two of our meetings to get acquainted with us and our organization. Then we’ll help you with the rest!
